Obituary of Wilma P. Welch

Wilhelmina Perrault was born September 7, 1913 in Sherman, New Mexico. Wilma grew up on a large ranch with her parents, George A. Perrault and Bertha R. Perrault, three brothers and one sister, who are all deceased. She attended a small grade school not too far from the family home. She finished high school in Winslow, AZ. Wilma started nurses training school in El Paso, TX, where she graduated from the Hotel Dieu Sister's Nursing School in 1935. She was a nurse at O'Connor Hospital in San Jose, CA for 26 years. Wilma married Vernon T. Welch on July 27, 1936. After retirement Wilma and Vernon traveled and took care of each other; both lovers of gardening. Vernon T. Welch passed March 26, 1985. Wilma P. Welch left us August 1, 2014. Wilma is survived by her daughter, Patricia C. Mullen; six grandchildren, Thomas Schwenkler, Michelle Aldona, Jason Schwenkler, Michael Mullen, David Patrick Mullen and Timothy Mullen; and nine great-grandchildren, Ian Schwenkler, Melissa Mullen, Christopher Aldona, Kira Mullen, Patty Mullen, Peyton Mullen, Sarah Aldona, David Mullen and Olive Schwenkler. Services were held at Christ Child Church. 23230 Summit Road, Los Gatos CA.
