Greetings to the family of Cynthia Gentry.
I did not know your mom/grandma/aunt/friend, but I came across her obituary in our local newspaper. The summary of Cynthia's life was very well written, and so interesting that I found myself reading it over and over, and savoring her story. What an amazing person, to have the courage and spirit to do so many things that girls and women just didn't do in those days. I admired her independence, her curiosity, what a hard worker she was, and the many and varied experiences she undertook during her life. Being a daughter of an elderly mother who struggles with the difficulties of aging, I am particularly impressed that Cynthia somehow retained her positive outlook during the hard road of old age. I would have no doubt enjoyed knowing her.
Thank you for telling her story so beautifully. I wish you all comfort, as you begin your grieving.
