In 1954 Rosemary married Ronald Wren of San Jose. The couple lived in Japan for a year where Rosemary taught English to U.S. Army personnel. Later the Wrens moved to Bakersfield, where her husband worked in TV, then located to San Jose, San Rafael and San Francisco.
Rosemary was the mother of Diane Wren Pfotenhauer of Dolores, CO; David Wren of Kentfield, California; Christopher Wren of Bainbridge Island, Washington; and Andrew Wren of Sacramento, California; and the grandmother of nine.

In later years she devoted her time to writing and publishing poetry and essays as well as designing special interest art work on assignment.
