Our condolences go to Lani and the family from all of the Burley's. We have been neighbors for over 19 years and will miss the presence of Ray nearby but know that he is in a better place.
We will maintain the same vigilance that Ray did to ward off the deer that love to roam through both back yards. Ray was an inventive person who set up various types of deer avoidance systems in the back yard including sprinklers and lights. Anytime a back yard light came on you would know that the deer were out in his beautiful back yard trying to eat whatever they could get to.
We will miss you Ray.
Met Ray in Modesto JC vet club, 1955-56, and ended up rooming together for a few months. Used to cruise, 10th Street, in his blue Olds 88. Our paths crossed at Lockheed, but never had the opportunity to work with Ray on the same project.

I worked with Ray for several years at Lockheed's Santa Cruz test base. Ray was always cheerful and serious about our work. We missed him when he left for the Sunnyvale headquarters. Kay and I played bridge with Ray and Lani many times in those early years. Even though we had lost touch we will miss him.
