Dear Cherry and family,
I wanted to let you know how sorry I was to hear of Wade's passing. I have such fond memories of him while working together at the Association. He always was a measured thinker with concrete ideas and no drama and a perfect gentleman. He had a dry wit and was always fun to be around. My prayers are with you and your family.

As a young city planner in 1973 Wade was one of the best professionals I had the pleasure to work with. Those years saw many controversies in Santa Cruz and through all this Wade was one person I could always count on for a cool voice of reason.
My condolences to his family, our community has lost a real supporter and contributor.

Cherry,
Just want you to know how much I appreciated Wade's honesty and strength of character, which is why I asked him to be my treasurer for the assessor campaign. I could always rely on his fairness and good judgment. Bettie also appreciated his open mind to other opinions and perspectives. He deserved his long and productive life.
I think we lived during some of the "best of times" as appraisers and families in Santa Cruz.

I knew Wade for twenty-five years through Rotary where he always greeted me with his familiar smile. Truly a nice guy, I will miss him. My condolences, Gerry Turgeon

My father was a friend of Mr.Nittler and Leo would have wanted to send condolences to the Nittler family. Leo and Mr.Nittler and his sons hunted together occasionally. I'm sure these were good times as both my parents Charlene and Leo would speak of them fondly. They must have met years ago at Berkeley, although I'm not sure. In remembrance, Leslie Dwyer, Santa Cruz

I remember the first weekend I spent at Wade and Cherry's house. I was probably 19 and visiting from college. Cherry welcomed me into their home and fussed over us, fed us and made sure we were comfortable. I remember her warming the plates for dinner - that was amazing to me. And then there was Wade, who was a big tease from minute one. I loved it and teased him right back. Sheila is a lucky girl to have such great parents. Wade will be missed.
