Obituary of Josefina De Rivas

Josefina De Rivas, 87, passed away at her Santa Cruz home on Sunday. A native of Jalisco, Mexico, she has lived in Santa Cruz 37 years. She enjoyed cooking and loved playing cards. Josefina is survived by her 11 children, Jorge, Jesus (Carolina), Julia (Manuel), Josefina (Cesar), Alejandro, Cecelia, Patricia, Tony, Lourdes, Noemi (Jorge), and Armando and her 25 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Rivas who died in 1984, her daughter, Maria de Jesus, and 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Oakwood Memorial Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Rd (across from Dominican Hospital) on Friday, May 16 at 10:00 A.M. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday from 4PM until the Rosary at 6:00 PM. Graveside committal services will be at Holy Cross Cemetery (7th Avenue at Rodriguez).
