Obituary of Clifford Marvin Hedberg

Clifford Hedberg passed away peacefully at his home in Scotts Valley surrounded by his family on May 1, 2014 at the age of 90. Clifford was born in Gilroy on January 1, 1924 to Clifford Windfield Hedberg and Kathleen Jannet Gwynn. He graduated from Salinas High School. From 1943-1946 he serve in the US Army Air Corps during WWII with the 535th Air Service Group as an aircraft radio repairman and obtained the rank of Sergeant. After the war he worked for PG&E in Moss Landing as an electrical foreman and retired after 35 years. Through the years he has called many places home including Gilroy, Salinas, Watsonville, Grass Valley, Yuba City and most recently, Scotts Valley. Clifford is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Lefonda "Lee" Hedberg; son, Michael (Richele) Hedberg; daughter, Kerry Lou Hedberg; stepdaughter, Kathleen (Ed) Howe; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Hedberg; sister-in-law, Mary Hedberg; five grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Cliff A. Hedberg, on March 14, 2014; brother, Donald Hedberg; and his parents, Clifford and Kathleen Hedberg. Burial with Military Honors will take place at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W McCabe Rd., Santa Nella, CA on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 2:30 PM.
