Please share a memory of Virginia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Virginia Ruth Glazebrook passed away on Wednesday February 19, 2014 at 92 years old. She lived a long full life and touched many lives with her kindness. She was a very strong and remarkable woman. Virginia was born in Selma, CA. She married her first husband Henry Downs and traveled with him while he served in the Army during WWII. They had a daughter Cindy Downs. When Henry died it was just her and her daughter Cindy. They lived in Santa Cruz until Cindy was out of College. When her granddaughter Jacki was born she took care of her for many years while Jacki's parents worked. Years later Virginia met an old friend Kenneth Glazebrook. Soon after meeting again they got married in Lake Tahoe. Virginia was married to Kenneth until he passed about 14 years ago. Virginia spent her remaining years with family and her granddaughter Jacki and got to spend a lot of time with her new great grandchildren Tanner and Mackenzie. Virginia is survived by her granddaughter Jacquelyn Fraser of Livermore and great grandchildren, sister Linda Wood of Taft and sister in law Patty Wood of Santa Cruz.
