Obituary of Gloria McCammon
Please share a memory of Gloria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Gloria was active in her community, sharp as a tack and lived
independently until her final days. She was born in Santa Cruz and
graduated from Salinas High School in 1940. She loved her family,
travel, music, especially jazz, a good book, knitting, and playing
bridge. Gloria is survived by her eldest sister, Dorothy Hiserman of
Salinas, her four children, Julie Hicks (Scott), Lauren Winter (Steve),
Ross (Kathy), Stuart (Alla Mia) , 9 grand-children and 4
great-grandchildren. To paraphrase a line from one of her favorite
poets, Don Blanding, She lived, She laughed, She will be missed.
