Obituary of Gerdin Daniel Eells

"Dan" Eells, age 84, passed away in Brentwood on Sunday Jan. 26, 2014. Dan is survived by his wife of 51 years, Leilani, his four children and their spouses, and his 7 grandchildren. His family includes Peggy (Brent) Bridges and their children Baylin, Brianna, and Bryce; Robin (Matt) Mason; Peter Eells and his children Derek and Andrew; and Brad (Amy) Eells and their twins Carly and Cooper. Dan was born in Antioch, graduated from Antioch High School, and obtained a degree in Business from San Jose State University. He served in the Korean War as a Navy fighter pilot, retiring from the Naval Reserves with the rank of Commander. Dan worked and retired from Lockheed based in Sunnyvale. He leaves this life with countless fond memories of friends and family. Those that stand out the most include boating weekends, motor home travels, camping trips, fishing excursions, world travels, and of course, Dan's infamous Super Bowl parties - all of which included family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at Oakwood Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM. A reception will immediately follow.
