Jody McAlpin was born in Seattle, WA on July 22, 1946 and passed away on November 27, 2013 in Walnut Creek, CA. He is survived by his sons Brian McAlpin, Matthew McAlpin and their mother Judy McAlpin; his son Jerry Wilcher, by whom he has 4 grandchildren; Brothers Michael McAlpin, Daniel McAlpin and Chris Sommerkamp; Sisters Linda Williams, Wendy Philpott, Connie Edwards, Tracy Palmerin and Kelly Weaver; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jody is preceded in death by his Father Joseph McAlpin, Mother Mabel Weaver and Sister Shannon Ross.
Jody spent his childhood in Santa Cruz County. He was an avid golfer; enjoyed watching baseball and spending time outdoors. Jody was very much loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Services are to be held Saturday December 7, 2013 1:00 pm Oakwood Memorial Park, 3301 Paul Sweet Rd. Santa Cruz, CA.
