Obituary of Eric Thomas Easter

Eric Easter, 57, of Santa Cruz, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 14th, 2013. Eric was raised in Brawley, CA, and moved to Santa Cruz, CA as a young man. After starting as a surveyor and draftsman, he achieved his dream of becoming a Civil Engineer. He owned his business E.T., Easter, and Co, he felt privileged to work in a profession he loved dearly. Eric is survived by his wife Beatrice; they recently celebrated their 20th anniversary. He is survived by his daughters: Elka Easter, of Philadelphia, PA, Stephanie Paureau, of Santa Cruz, CA and Suzanne Oliver, of Santa Cruz, CA. He is also survived by his brother Jeffrey Easter, of Santa Cruz, CA. Eric and Beatrice met while sailing, they both loved to be on the water. Beatrice shared her love of travel with Eric and they were able to go on many wonderful trips. Eric was a devoted father who loved to spend time with his girls. Eric loved music and supported the Santa Cruz Symphony. He was very involved in the community and the Santa Cruz Rotary Club. A Memorial Mass for Eric will be held Friday, Oct. 18th, 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 126 High St., Santa Cruz.
