Obituary of Doris Elaine Butler

Elaine's long and difficult journey through Alzheimer's ended August 17, 2013. She now rests in peace with her husband of 64 years, Harry, whom she dearly missed throughout her last 4 years.
Elaine impacted the lives of hundreds of children during the 25 years that she opened her heart and home to fostering infants until they were adopted. Anyone that knew Elaine will remember her as a devoted Christian with a wonderful sense of humor and gregarious personality.
Elaine was pre-deceased by husband Harry and daughter Martha Eloise. She will be dearly missed by her children Mark Butler and wife Celeste, daughter Gail Begg and husband Marty, Lynette Butler and partner Ben Bland, and her four grandchildren, Darcie and husband Aaron Beck, Kerry and husband Ed Littlefield and Jolene and Erinn Begg.
There will be a memorial and celebration of Elaine's life on Sept. 4 @ 11:00 at Oakwood Memorial Chapel on Paul Sweet Road in Santa Cruz.
