Obituary of Frances Maxine Thuringer

Frances M. Thuringer died peacefully in her sleep on August 14, 2013 at the age of 79 due to complications of cancer. The daughter of Michael and Jessie Davis, she was born on March 24, 1934 in Sacramento, California. She moved with her family to Santa Cruz in 1946 where she attended Mission Hill High School. She was married to George Espinosa in 1951; they had two children, Steven and Renee. While her children were in High School, she attended night school to obtain her GED and later earned an Associate of Arts degree from Cabrillo Junior College at the age of 39. She was employed for many years as a medical insurance specialist. George and Frances divorced in 1987 and in 1997 she married Roy Thuringer. Frances and Roy moved to Saint George, Utah in 2007. She remained happily married to Roy until the time of her death. She will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband Roy, her two children; Steven and Renee, four grandchildren; Chandra, Laurinda, Ben and Evan, two great grandchildren; Chase and Aubrey, a sister; Patricia Civatello and a brother, David Davis. A Reception and Celebration of Frances' life will be held at the De Laveaga Golf Course Restaurant on Saturday August 24, 2013 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
