Obituary of Donald Robert Shelton

Donald Shelton was an 81 year resident of Santa Cruz. He is survived by his wife, of 70 years, Marion, his sons Danny (Marianne) and Craig (Peg). He was also survived by his brother, Walter Shelton and sister Rose Price. Donald was the proud Grandfather of 8 and the Great-Grandfather of 20. Donald served in the Army Air Core for three years as a flight engineer on B-17s. After discharge from service, he began working at his gas station during the day, he drove Yellow Cab in Santa Cruz for 13 hours every night. Next, he worked at several vending machines companies ending his career at Santa Cruz Music and Vending, totaling 35 years. Donald was also a member of the Elks Club for many years. He and Marion enjoyed traveling in their fifth wheel and spending time with family. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 13 at 2 pm at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 220 Elk St. Santa Cruz 95065.In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to: Hospice of Santa Cruz County, 940 Disc Drive, Scotts Valley 95066.
