Obituary of Derrick Pisano

Derrick Pisano, born Gregory Derrick Thomas Pisano on January 26, 1989, fell asleep in death on April 22, 2013. He was 24. Derrick was born in Virginia and relocated to Santa Cruz, California, in 1991, with his mother when he was two years old. They immediately made many friends. Derrick attended local schools, including Shoreline Middle School, where he met his best friend David Lindauer. Derrick and David enjoyed building and racing their Nitro R/C cars. This hobby led Derrick to his love for cars. He loved working on and driving his Nissan 240 SX. His love for cars also led him to his job at Mid County Auto Supply in Capitola. Derrick is preceded in death by his mother, Lydia Pisano. He is survived by his grandparents, Tom and Nellie Pisano, of Porterville. His uncle, Vincent Pisano, of Porterville. His uncle, Tim Pisano, of Porterville. His aunt, Jane McDonald, of Ben Lomond and his cousin, Angela Pisano, of Scotts Valley. There will be a gathering to celebrate Derrick's life on May 4, 2013 starting at 2:00p.m. Held at San Lorenzo Valley Elementary school Multi-purpose room. 7155 Highway 9, Felton, CA 95018.
