He was 66. Larry was born on January 15, 1947, in Fairfield, California. His family moved shortly thereafter to Hayward, where the family business, Duncan & Son Petroleum, Inc., was established. Larry graduated from Hayward High School in 1966, after which he became partner and owner of the family business until it was sold. Their adventurous cruises took them through several countries. He moved from Alameda County to Boulder Creek in 1991 and enjoyed the quiet surroundings and the beauty of the local area. Larry and Leah bought and remodeled the house of their dreams on the ninth fairway of the Boulder Creek Country Club, where they cultivated their passion for gardening, raising orchids, roses and lilacs. He served as president of the Boulder Creek Men's Golf Club in 1997. Larry was a devoted and proud fan of all the baseball, football, and golf sports programs associated with the San Lorenzo Valley schools and Little League. He watched all the games and traveled to wherever the games were being played to watch his grandsons Larry and David compete. Also left behind are his sister and her husband, Jennifer Duncan-Boyden and David Boyden, of Hayward, and their daughter, Andrea Medakovic of Alameda, and innumerable cherished family members and friends. Larry is predeceased by his parents, Harry N. and Margaret H. Duncan, and sister, Janice Duncan Mitchell, all of Hayward.
