Obituary of Kathleen Bass

Services will be Friday, April 5th for Kathleen "Dolly" Bass who passed away on April 1st, she was 74 years old. Dolly was raised in San Francisco. Dolly and her husband Jim have lived in Santa Cruz for the past 25 years. Dolly was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. Dolly was active in the community and served as a volunteer for many nonprofit organizations. She was an avid bridge player and tennis player. She loved the beach, entertaining and the San Francisco Giants. Most importantly Dolly loved her family. Dolly is survived by her husband of 56 years Jim Bass, son Mark (Sharon), daughters Stacey and Khris (Ben); Grandchildren Amanda and Alex. She is also survived by her sisters Cleone Damonte (John), Elizabeth Schmidt (Hal), Dianne Quirley, Nancy Freeman, Peggy Giannini (Frank) and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial celebration for Dolly will be held on Friday, April 5th at 1:00 pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 420 Melrose Ave., Santa Cruz. In lieu of flowers gifts to Trinity Presbyterian Church are preferred.
