Obituary of Jacqueline Clark

Jacqueline ("Jackie") D. Clark, 70, of Brookdale, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, March 14th while under the care of Hospice of Santa Cruz County. Jackie was born January 10, 1943, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late William Berner and Dorothy Lieshnering. She married Klaus Clark on February 15, 1978 in Reno, NV. Jackie was a long time resident of the San Lorenzo Valley who worked very hard to make the Valley a better place to live. She was the manager of the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Boulder Creek until she retired in 1999, and enjoyed traveling, gardening, and doing artwork during her retirement years. She was a member of St. Michael's Church and Noble Grand of the Boulder Creek Rebekah Lodge. She also served on the Boulder Creek Parks and Recreation Board. She will be remembered by her husband, Klaus, of Brookdale; her daughter Mary Unruh-Tipton and son-in-law Andrew Tipton of Greenfield, CA; and daughter Laura Unruh and son-in-law Robert Parmenter of Santa Cruz, CA; and her stepson Chris Clark and daughter-in-law Denise Clark of El Dorado Hills, CA; and stepson Michael Clark and daughter-in-law Erin Clark of San Diego, CA. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Madeline Clark and Aaron Clark of El Dorado Hills; and Landon Clark and Analise Clark of San Diego, CA; and one sister, Jeannette Cooper and her husband James Cooper of Wausau, WI. Following along with her wishes, her ashes will be spread in a private family ceremony later this year. In lieu of flowers donations to the SPCA of Santa Cruz County are requested. Their address is: 2685 Chanticleer Avenue, Santa Cruz, CA. Jackie's family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Santa Cruz County for their kindness and assistance over the past several weeks.
