Obituary of Judith Bell Tayar

Judith Bell Tayar passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, February 19, 2022 at her home in Paris, France with her husband and family at her bedside. Judith was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and lived fully until the last months of her life. Her family is forever grateful to her husband Alain, who was loving and dedicated to Judith’s care day and night until her passing. Petra, her loving dog guarded her continuously until her passing. Judith was born June 10, 1958 in Santa Cruz California. Attended local schools through high school. Her marketing career took her to San Francisco, Dallas Texas, Paris France and India. One of her interesting clients was from India, where she travelled to brand and market Bananas grown in India. She became a citizen of France as well as maintaining her citizenship in the United States of America. In 2017, she married her long-time companion Alain Tayar in Paris. She created a beautiful life between Paris and her home town of Santa Cruz. For over 30 years Judith shared her Parisian life with family and many friends who would join her in Paris and the French Countryside. She lived life to the fullest, with passion and great humor. She had an infectious laugh and quickest of wits. Judith lived a spiritual life, and was a member of the American Cathedral in Paris where her Memorial Service was held on February 23, 2022. The Service can be viewed on YouTube/ Remembering Judith Bell Tayar. On February 28, 2022 a private family memorial was held at her final resting place at Santa Cruz Memorial Park. Her friendship an inspiration and her love a blessing. She will be profoundly missed. Judith was preceded in death by her father, William Bell and her mother Jeanne Carroll. She is survived by her husband, Alain Tayar, Four siblings; Steven Bell (Pati), Betty Canfield (Charles), Robert Bell (Lori), Michelle Venezio (Jeff); A nephew; Christopher Ippisch (Robin) three nieces; Katelyn Condon (Robert), Ashleigh Venezio and Jenna Venezio. Two great nephews, two great nieces and many lifelong friends. Judith had a passion for all animals especially her dogs.
