Thelma L. Mackenzie died after a short illness on November 12, 2021. She is survived by her husband Dr. Colin A. Mackenzie of what would have been 65 years of marriage on December 22, 2021, and their three children: Heather Gorley, Ian Mackenzie and Helen Mackenzie; grandchildren: Jared Gorley, Megan Mackenzie, Colin Mackenzie, Heather Brown, Forrest Brown, and great grandson Logan Brown.
Thelma, “Bunny” to her husband Colin, moved to California in 1965 with her husband and three children driving across the country in a station wagon from Nova Scotia where she grew up on a dairy farm.
Thelma was a supportive wife.
One of Thelma’s many hobbies was chocolate making which she carried over to a successful business, Mackenzie’s Kandy Kitchen, in 1984 which continues to be operated by her son Ian and his wife Mary Rose.
Pursuant to Thelma’s request no memorial service will be held. She will be missed by all those who knew her.
