The family of Donna Marie Swanson is saddened to announce her passing on May 19, 2026. Donna passed peacefully at home, in the presence of her oldest daughter. She was 79 years old. She was born in Stillwater, MN, in 1946. Donna leaves behind a legacy of service from her long and distinguished nursing career. Her love of music and writing continues in her children, Bonnie Wheeler and Kathryn Swanson-Ellis, and her three grandsons, Daniel, Gabriel, and Caedmon. A celebration of life will be held at Santa Cruz Memorial Oakwood Crystal Chapel, Santa Cruz, CA, on Saturday, July 25, at 1:00. Donna will be buried next to her parents, Anthony “Tony” and Elise Mimosa.
