Kevin P. Baird, 54, died June 28 in Santa Cruz. Kevin was born in Santa Cruz, CA on October 21, 1971, the son of J. Jeffrey Baird and Karen F. (Rigor) Baird.

Kevin was a 1990 graduate of Bear River High School in Grass Valley, CA, 1996 Graduate of University of California State Long Beach, and in 1998 he earned a master’s degree from university of California Irvine. Kevin owned and operated Kevin Baird Structural Design for the majority of his career.

Kevin enjoyed traveling, skiing, and surfing.

He is survived by his children, Kaia, Micah, Quinn, and their mother Julie, of Aptos, Ca, his father Jeff (Patty) Baird of Truckee, Ca, his sister Katie Baird of Santa Cruz, Ca, his brother Derek (Yuen) Droze of Singapore, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, his brother, Jeffrey A. Baird, and sister Kaycee (Baird) Garcia.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
