Mark Badger, born November 13th, 1953 and current resident of Santa Cruz, CA, passed away on May 28, 2026 at the age of 72 following a courageous battle with cancer. Mark will be remembered as a devoted family man who always went out of his way to visit long time friends and relatives. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara; his son Kevin and daughter-in-law Ashley; his daughter Kimberly and son-in-law Danny; granddaughters Evalyn, Adelaide and Lily; and grandson Patrick.

Above all else, Mark loved his family, his friends, and anything with an engine. From the ships he served aboard during his time in the U.S. Navy, to the jets he helped to maintain throughout his 34 year career as an aircraft mechanic and inspector at United Airlines, Mark dedicated his life to keeping things moving. He also brought that passion to his personal life in boating and classic automobiles.

Mark's life was a journey across America, enjoying burgers and cokes, turning wrenches at airports and actively participating in car clubs in Fresno, Tulsa, Chicago, Indianapolis, San Francisco area, and most recently in Santa Cruz with the Cam Snappers. Wherever he lived, he built lasting friendships and shared his enthusiasm for cars, craftsmanship, and community.

The family is planning a celebration of life in Santa Cruz this summer, with details to be announced. Meanwhile, the family invited you to honor his memory by smiling, and thinking of Mark whenever you pass an antique or vintage car.
