Haydee Northcutt passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, at the hospital. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, tía, wife, and cherished friend, remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Haydee was born to Jose Antonio Lopez and Alicia Elena Rodas de Lopez. She was preceded in death by her beloved siblings—Jose Beniamino Lopez, Oswaldo De Jesus Lopez, Roxamita Irma Lopez de Blanco, and Mauricio Lopez—as well as by her first husband, Augusto Aguirre, and her second husband, Melvin Northcutt.
She leaves behind her loving children: Augusto; Patricia and her husband Brad; Mark and his wife Alta Cilicia; and Sharon. Haydee was a proud and devoted grandmother to Jasmine, Davon, Jacquees, Marissa, and Amaya, who brought immense joy to her life.
Originally from El Salvador, Haydee immigrated to the United States and settled in San Francisco, where she raised her family. She later made her home in Santa Cruz, where she worked as a dental technician, supported her husband in the dental lab, provided catering services, and owned and operated a delicatessen.
Haydee found joy in gardening, cooking, baking, reading, walking along the coast in Santa Cruz, and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. Her life was defined by sacrifice, service, resilience, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
