Carole Ann Terry Obituary

In loving memory of Carole Terry née Sperling, who passed away peacefully after a short illness just three weeks shy of her 91st birthday.

A dancer with the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera in her late teens, she taught ballet, tap, jazz and folk dance to young people and geriatric calisthenics to seniors in care homes before retraining as a certified master hypnotist in her mid-thirties.

Metaphysics, Eastern philosophy, poetry and dogs were also her passions. Long an inveterate mover, Carole settled down for good at her home in Montevalle in 2009, where she remained until her passing on September 29, 2025.

She leaves behind a daughter, Debbie; two sons, Michael and Gary; five grandchildren, Alasdair, Iain, Jamie, Emma and Kennan; and one great-grandchild, Cormac, each of whom she treasured. A loving, beautiful and graceful spirit who will be missed by family and friends.
