Diana Jean Putney passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 peacefully at home. She touched many lives with her caring nature and devotion to family.

Diana was born in Jacksonville, Illinois in 1943 and moved to Santa Cruz, CA at the age of 14. She graduated from Santa Cruz High School in 1961. While still in high school, Diana's first job was check filing at County Bank and Trust in the evenings. She eventually worked her way up to Vice President of Banking. After a 27 year career in banking, Diana spent over 20 years working for the Santa Cruz City Police Department in the records department. Diana retired when her grandchildren were born to spend more time with her loved ones.

Diana is preceded in death by Elton Putney, spouse, they were married 55 years. She is survived by her devoted children Jeff Putney (Jenny) of Soquel and Jennifer Heath (Doug) of Soquel. and grandchildren, Clayton Heath, Maverick Heath, Callie Putney and Braden Putney. Her generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
