Obituary of Kent G Miller

Dear Family and Friends, Kent Miller passed away peacefully on June 27, 2020. We would like to celebrate the life of Kent Miller as he was a loving husband, father, and friend to many. There really is no way for us to tell all the fantastic memories and stories Kent leaves us with, however, we hope you have some personal happy memories in your heart and will carry those with you always. Our wish is to have this time after his death to be a tribute to all of those wonderful memories. “Hey Coach” was a phase we heard all through our lives with KG. Kent had a big heart and always had a smile on his face that seemed to be everywhere he went. He was a true outdoorsman. Kent started his love of fishing and hunting at an early age with his father and uncles back in Michigan. He was a founding member of the East Gustine Duck Club. The Duck Club was a place for many special memories, especially for Kent’s sons Christian and Matthew. As a successful and dedicated coach, he was named coach of the year in 1972 when he led the Leland Chargers Football team to a 13-0 CCS victory. He was an excellent tennis player, who taught his wife and kids to enjoy the sport as well. Kent enjoyed taking his family to their cabin in Lake Tahoe, traveling all around the US seeing the sites, having many nights end with stars and cowboy poetry. His grandchildren were also a special joy in his life, whether it was helping Ryan with his trucks or listening to music with Allie. We understand that in these circumstances, it is not feasible for loved ones to attend a memorial service. Know that we wish we could all be together to honor Kent.
