John Deck was one of the really good people I have known in this world. Whenever I spent time with him over the years I could always count on his kindness and unconditional regard. In his presence there was a kind of safety and comfort. I loved singing harmony with him at the wonderful Deck parties. Even our children, when they were young, recognized John as one of the nicest of our friends and children know. I will miss his presence on this planet very much.
