Mr. Goodrich hired me as a 19-year old brand new business college graduate back in 1982 to be his legal secretary. I was so very fortunate to have worked for him for 3 years until the birth of my first child. It was my first "real" job, and although the time was short, Mr. Goodrich made a huge impact on me in my professional life. I learned so much from him, and he was a wonderful boss. I have spoken fondly of him many times over the years and always remember what a true gentleman he was. I am happy he now joins Dede in their eternal home. An amazing man--what a wonderful life he had!

Raymond Goodrich is one of the greatest men I have ever known. His kindness and encouragement had a great deal to do with making me the person I am today. His loss will always be felt and his life was a beacon of light to all of those he touched.

Paul,
Was saddened to hear of your father’s passing. Hope you and Pam are doing ok with it all.
I’m guessing you are retired now or close to it unless for some odd reason you still enjoy working.
Kindest regards at this difficult time,
Gary Rochelle

I first got to know Ray when he was elected to the Santa Cruz City Council not long after I became City Attorney. He was one of the finest council members, and individuals, I had the good fortune to know and work with, and we became friends. In our retirement years we would often encounter each other at local places favored by old timers, such as Shoppers Corner, and Ray always enjoyed taking time to chat and reminisce about times past. He was a pillar of this community whose presence will be missed and long remembered.
