Obituary of Martin Prehm

Please share a memory of Martin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marty was born in Aberdeen, Washington, and raised in Hoquiam, Washington, on Grays Harbor. Our family moved to California in 1968. In the early 70's, Marty bought property and settled in Felton, where he worked as a building contractor for 40 years. Marty was a third-generation carpenter and builder. Marty is survived by his loving sisters: Geraldine Rudolph of Claremont, California, and Margaret Cunningham of Roseville, California; also, his nephews Ben Rudolph, Chase Cunningham and his wife, Lauren, Troy Cunningham and his wife, Christine, and his devoted cat, Biggie. Marty had a great love of family and he remained a steadfast and devoted son, brother, and uncle. Marty also leaves behind a wide circle of good friends and neighbors. He loved to re-tell stories of their many adventures - fishing in Alaska and Mexico; hunting, camping, and rock-picking abalone; and, especially, tales about the many hard-working men and women he worked with through the years. The friendships he made at the Moose Lodge are legendary, and were a perpetual source of delight. These friends, and his family, will be hosting a memorial gathering on Sunday, July 17, 2016, at 2pm, at the Santa Cruz Moose Lodge #545 in Scotts Valley, CA. All are welcome.
