I am so sorry for your loss, Coach Dodge. I met Sue when I was a basketball referee. I know, as a referee, I wasn't suppose to have favorites, but Sue was my all-time favorite. She had a way of insulting my calls that made me laugh. It was a unique gift. Later, we played on softball teams together and she continued to insult me - I was a terrible player compared to her - in the most loving way. She was quick-witted, fun and full of life. After she moved to Gilroy, I didn't see her for years but we resumed our friendship - helped by facebook - the last several years. She visited a couple years back, riding up on her big red motorcycle. I happened to have on hand her beloved drink, TaB, just in case she visited - as she said she would some day. I found that TaB quirk of hers very endearing, along with the many other ways she just traveled to her own beat. I wish I could come to the memorial service but I live half-time in Hawaii and so will miss it. I am just very sad she is no longer in the world and will miss her.
