Obituary of Kari Ruth Lappas

Kari Ruth Lappas left this earth on February 29th, at 76 years old. Her parents Clem and Ruth Lappas preceded Kari in death. Kari lived in her family's Santa Cruz home for most of her life. In her early years Kari helped her Greek father work in the family's candy shop near the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Folks could look through the window, he stirring candy in large copper pots, and she serving the customers. Kari was enchanted by the ocean and exploring all the little pools of crabs and ocean life. Her health failed her in later years, and made her life more difficult. Her cousins Janet Verkuyl, Susan Hathaway, Lew, Gary and Tommy Hines, and Terry and Joe Wallace survive Kari.
