Obituary of Toni Marie Maier

Toni Marie Maier (Fox) passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday January 28th, 2016. She touched many lives continually through her care and concern for others as well as her never ending optimism. Toni was born in Lynwood California and graduated from Downey High School in Downey, California. Toni is survived by her loving children Charles, Christie, Garrett, Erin, Carmen, Katie, David and Dana. Toni is also survived by her eleven grand children; Ariana, Heaven, Ethan, Gabriella, Chax, Hunter, Ginger, Grace, Lulu, Isabella and Elijah. In addition, Toni was survived by her siblings, Lynda Montoya (Fox), Michael Fox, Shelly Essy (Fox), Mark Fox, Monica Bosque (Fox), and Melodie Fox. Toni was a kind and generous hearted woman who contributed significantly to her local community and close friends. Toni's strength and tenacity was the pillar of her immediate family and close friends. Her tendency to see the good in nearly any situation motivated others to follow suit and appreciate the positive attributes of life. She lived her life in a warm, caring and generous manner, contributing to all those around her. A visitation for family and friends will held at Santa Cruz Memorial, 1927 Ocean Street on Thursday February 4th, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm; recitation of the Rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial for Toni will be held on Friday, February 5th, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 126 High Street, Santa Cruz, CA. She will be loved and missed by many.
