Obituary of William Henry Roberson

William Henry Roberson, resident of Soquel, passed peacefully on December 23, 2015. Bill was born in Los Angeles, California on the 4th of July, 1923 to Harry Scott Roberson and Margaret Ann (Wells) Roberson. He is survived by 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. His survivors live in Arizona, Oregon, California, Minnesota, and the Republic of Korea. He worked at printing from the mid-1940s and was still involved in the printing business until the year of his passing. Bill was very active in his church, including being director of the Pathfinders , a youth club, where he took groups of children and youth to the top of Mt. San Jacinto, Mt. San Gorgonio and Mt. Whitney, as well as organizing and participating in 50-mile bike rides in Southern California. He was an active member of the Christian Fellowship Bowling League for many years before relocating his family to the Soquel area in 1972. In his later years, he was involved in community activities which included putting together the Soquel Pioneer and Historical Association book, and working as a volunteer at the Capitola Museum. Bill was a respected member of his church as well as throughout the community. A memorial service will be held at the Soquel Bilingual SDA Church, 2501 Porter Street, on January 16, 2016 at 2:30 pm.
