Obituary of John Duarte

October 29, 1924 - November 27, 2015 Resident of Loma Mar John "Juan" Duarte, a WWII US Army Air Force Veteran, passed away peacefully at the Veteran's Community Living Center in Livermore, surrounded by his loving family. He was 91. John was a prolific artist who worked with many different mediums. He was a painter, a sculptor, a writer, a singer, and a musician. John is survived by his daughters Pilar (Bill) Noble and Natalia Duarte (Michael Stamp); grandsons Jake and Luke Noble; great-grandchildren Zaya and Owen; sister Jeanne Alessandra Duarte and her children Armando and Allegra; and brother Julian (Phyllis) Duarte. A celebration of John's life will be held at Santa Cruz Memorial - Oakwood Chapel on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11 AM.
