Rick and I were teammates on the Lakewood High School Wrestling Team. Will always remember starving ourselves to make weight in the lower weight divisions. The crazy and fun times with Rick through high school are unforgettable. We will all miss you Rick. Rest in peace my friend.

I miss you brother... So many great memories from our youth and as husbands and fathers. Always there to lend and ear and Godly advice. I miss our conversations about family and holding each other accountable as brothers in Christ. Can't wait to see you in Heaven!

Ricky, my high school years would not have been as fun without you. I will never forget ditching school and laughing screaming and having a great time driving up and down PCH and the 405 in the Mustang!! Such a wonderful friend...you are greatly missed!

I First met Rick in little league in 2003 both Patrick and Elliott were on the team and rick immediately volunteered to be one of our coaches, I enjoyed ricks personality and wit, and we had fun for years coaching together and became friends off the field as well… rick was a great coach and had a great ability to get to a kids level and instruct and guide in a natural way. Ricks love of wrestling was one reason my son became involved in the sport and I credit rick with teaching Seamus skills that made him successful, always being in his corner with great advice and also spending time with Rick at meets was a favorite pastime of mine and one that I have great memories of. We went to events with the boys, watched wrestling and MMA events on a regular basis and I was the beneficiary of learning how to bbq the best chicken known to man from Rick…I was in a motorcycle accident in 2010 and Rick came to the hospital more than once and made a point to make me laugh not in spite of broken ribs and a collapsed lung but because of it, that was so funny it still hurts…there are too many things to say about him here, but I can say Rick was a powerful personality and was never afraid to tell it like it is, something I respect in this pc world. I loved the man and what he brought to the table of life and we spent many hours discussing the pride we have in our boys and the love we have for our wives and families… Rick you will be dearly missed my man. Love you bro. your friend ,Tim McGuire

My family loved Rick like he was one of our own. He was a tremendous support to myself & my 3 kids. Rick was there as a mentor & a father figure to my boys. He was a huge support to me. I miss him deeply but I know that he is with Taylor & that they are watching over both of our families. Love you Doran family, with all of my heart.
