Obituary of John August Meschi

John August Meschi October 19, 1943- September 4, 2015 John's suffering has ended after a year long struggle with brain cancer. He was born and raised in Santa Cruz and lived his entire life in this area. John attended Holy Cross from Kindergarten through graduation from high school. Many of his life long friends went to school with him. He was on the varsity baseball and football teams. John grew up hiking and fishing the rivers and streams of Santa Cruz. John was also an avid bird hunter and long time partner in the Eureka Farms Duck Club in Los Banos. John loved having dinner parties with friends and family. After retiring, he loved the traveling adventures taken with his wife and friends. He will be greatly missed by his wife of twenty-one years, Beverly; his daughter Tracy Phariss, her husband Daren, their children Richard and Kirsten; his son Mike Meschi, his wife Nicole, and their child Jacob; and step-son Justin Berenbaum, his wife Noe, and their daughter Jordan. There will be a graveside service at Santa Cruz Memorial, 1927 Ocean St., Friday, September 11th at 10:00 AM. Reception to follow.
