Dear Mark and Roberta,
We have been in the process of moving to Boulder Creek, but we have been thinking about both of your sweet, loving parents whom we met when we all were neighbors on Chilverton. How fortunate you were to have parents like the two of them who seemed to be a perfect match. ! Sometimes Bob and I would see them in the mall in Capitola, and would have an occasion to catch up with what was happening with you as well as themselves. We were so glad to have known them! We wish him Godspeed as he re-joins Betty, the love of his life. We hope to attend his memorial. And we wrap wings of love around both of you at this time of loss. Fondly, Bonnie, Bob, and Dawn Wolfe

Thank you, Julie! He thought your boys were the sweetest and remembered them from their early years, of course. Thanks for posting this photo of his birthday this year.

Mr. Joiner was my 4th grade teacher at DeLaveaga Elementary (79/80 school year). I remember him very fondly. He was a great teacher and I even took a calligraphy class with him after school. I will forever remember and am grateful I got to share in his teaching career!! He touched the lives of a lot of children. What an amazing legacy to leave behind! Thank you, Mr. Joiner!!!

Bill was the oldest in a family of eight. I was the youngest sibling with there being 18 years between us. I didn't see much of Bill as I was growing up, but I remember what a treat it was for the family when he would come home for a visit. With him living in CA and us in PA. it was a long trek home, but he and his family traveled home for my wedding in 1964 and and he was the vocalist for the ceremony. I was honored that he did that for his baby sister. Mark and Roberta brought him home to PA last summer for our family reunion and we were blessed to see him one more time. I think we all looked up to our Billy as we called him. He was a special brother to all of us. Lucille

Thank you so much for sharing this. He had such fond memories of his students, and was so happy when someone recognized him! In the last days in the hospital former students who worked at the hospital would see his name on the board and come and visit him and it meant a lot. Mark and Roberta Joiner

Our family feels so blessed to have had the opportunity to know Bill & Betty Joiner. They were such strong Christians and such a shining example of Chrisian marriage. They were always so warm and caring. We looked forward to seeing them each week when we were at St. Philip's. Bill was always so thoughtful and interested in what our oldest was up to, even when Nathaniel left for college. Bill and Betty were such fixtures for our family. We will all miss them here, but will look forward to a time we will meet again with our Lord.
