Lee was like a second dad to me. I'm beyond devastated to hear of his passing. He was always there for me and had great wisdom he was more than willing to pass on to me. His council helped me to become the man I am. I love you Lee and I'll see you on the other side.

So sorry to hear one my very favorite people in the world has passed on. Lee was the best thing that ever happened to the children who were placed in Group Home Society homes in Santa Cruz County. He made sure they always had safe transportation, served on the Board of Directors for many years and never stopped caring. I will never forget his many years of service. Wonderful man. Dear Lynne,
I have such fond memories of Lee and your family...he was enormously proud of all of you and it showed. Being on the Cardinal Club board together during Jim and Molly's high school days, plus of course, the Johnny Crow connection with Molly, meant a long time side by side sharing of our children's lives. The last time I saw him was at one of the grandkids baseball games...again, a perfect example of supporting his family with a smile and a cheer.
I send much love and big hugs to all...from all our family. I will be out of town on Wednesday, but am sure you will have a grand send off to the ultimate Dad, husband, grandpa.
Hugs and love, Judy Domhoff Stenovich

Lynn, Jim, Molly and your families
Lee was one of those people I could always count on for good advice and a reasoned view of the world. I can recall countless Zoning Board hearings where Lee would crack a smile and try to find a solution to a problem be it big or small.
When I would see Lynn and Lee in Santa Cruz it was like a reunion with Lee asking how our children were doing and passing along news of his family. I do not think many in Santa Cruz realize how many aspects of our town and its life that Lee touched during his years as a business owner and community volunteer.
I will miss you Lee but your memories will always be with me and your thoughts on how to enjoy each moment of our life and families.

I first met Lee in 1976 when my father passed away. Lee had just become a Datsun/Nissan dealer and he was very helpful in giving me advise and guidance. I always enjoyed our conversations on life, vacation and family. I know he was very proud of his two children Molly and Jim. We both shared a love of vacationing on Maui and the beauty of Lake Tahoe. Lee made me proud of being a Nissan dealer and showed me how important it is to be active in the local community. I will truly miss my friend and fellow dealer.
All my best to Lynne and family

I'm so sorry to hear that Lee has passed away. The last time I saw him at Rotary, we talked about his post-op recovery, and I told him it would take a couple of months to be back in form. I promised to pray for him, and I did every day. But our wishes were not granted, and Lee was taken too soon.
What I remember best of Lee is from our Rotary meetings. He was a quiet presence, sitting with his son Jim at lunch. You could tell there was a real bond between them. But Lee was truly dogged on the scholarships. Many young people achieved their college dreams thanks to Lee's dedication and hard work in helping to select the annual recipients. We honestly can say that he helped to change many lives, including those who were the first in their families to receive a college education. Lee was always a kind and generous person, and I liked him very much. Rotary will miss him.

I remember a time when I was young, I was with Lee and we were loading fire wood into an old pickup truck he had. I didn't know enough about the truck to know what it could hold; Lee said "just keep loading." So we kept loading until it was so full we could not get one more piece of wood in the bed of that truck. We hopped in the truck and headed back to town. As we were heading down the road we heard what sounded like an explosion, it scared the daylights out of me. As it turned out, the rear axle had snapped. I remember being all freaked out while Lee was as calm as could be, that's a true car guy.
I am so sorry for your loss.
